Sara A. Crawford, founder at Sara A. Crawford LLC and Blondie Mansion, provides mindset, business education, brand awareness and growth solutions to entrepreneurs, organizations, and creatives. In addition to business services, Sara transforms brands into powerful cultural movements through her Blondie Mansion initiative dedicated to helping creatives and entrepreneurs achieve their goals through immersive and innovative experiences. She blends business education, music events, and art exhibitions. Their signature experience, Visual Melodies, showcases live music, spoken word, and art. Through their programs, we foster creativity, cultural movements, and community growth, creating a supportive ecosystem for entrepreneurs and creatives.
Sara As the head curator for the MKT Place Gallery, she oversees a space that offers a fresh and unique perspective on the traditional art gallery experience. The gallery provides local artists with the opportunity to participate in a two-month residency, during which the community is invited to engage with their works and experience the creative process up close. This residency fosters a deeper connection between artists and the public, enriching both through the power of artistry.
During Sara’s 8-year directorship at The Women’s Business Center at True Access Capital, Sara expanded the reach, programming and services offered at the WBC. Under her leadership and guidance, the WBC was recognized as one of the nation’s premiere centers and was the top WBC nationally for the highest number of business owners completing business plans through their Passport to Business Success program. She was able to assist over 10,000 individuals in training and counseling, she has helped secure over $3M in loan capital, creating opportunities for economic development with over 4,000 jobs, and curated /hosted over 600 business related trainings, programs, and events. During the pandemic Sara created specific programming hosted online to keep entrepreneurs engage and thinking outside of the box with The Holiday Crawl, a QVC style concept of shopping and promoting small businesses and the H.E.R (Helping Entrepreneur Rise) business plan competition, Sara created in partnership with Citizens Bank during the pandemic. The Competition was a way for an existing or start up business to receive and win money for their business growth. The prizes went up to $10,000.
Sara is also committed to promoting minority-owned businesses and supporting black creatives. Through The Original Coloure Collective, a platform she co-founded during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through her efforts, The Collective was able to increase visibility for local solopreneurs and business owners by 62%. This effort led to New Castle County Executive Matthew Meyer proclaiming April 8th as Creative Encore Day.
Sara's expertise in fashion and entrepreneurship has earned her recognition as a Change Maker and Young Philanthropist by Black Celebrity Giving, and she has been named one of the most influential people in Delaware by Delaware Online. Sara is a true trailblazer, setting a higher bar for small businesses in Delaware by creating innovative programming to educate and inspire entrepreneurs in her community. Her book, The Playbook to Essential Style, and her TEDx Wilmington talk, A Signature Pigment, share her story and inspire others to pursue their passions. Sara's leadership, impact, and accomplishments have earned her numerous awards and recognition, including the Next Generation Award from the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, and Technical.ly’s list of REALlist Connecters.
